Our power was cut for three days because of the floods. I couldn't order my acai slim because I spent all my money on things like battery operated fans, battery operated lights, ice, battery charger for the mobile phone and ice ice and more ice. So now I am broke. I had to throw out all the food in my fridge.....

I got heaps of exercise and hardly ate because I was so stressed. We were led to believe that we would get flooded where we were but we didn't. I got to watch the Brisbane River rising though on Wednesday and Natasha and her friend Jade took heaps of photos.
It was an amazing yet scary sight watching the water rise and the current was so strong. I saw a yacht go past then a jet ski. Then when we went and had another look later on we saw part of a ferry terminal float past.

Hey Belle! Welcome back to you and me. Lol! I was away for few days too. I had been a potato couch for the past few days. i wanted to take a rest from work so I took a leave. Glad to know you and Natasha are safe. I hope people affected will recover soon.
I have to say the area where I live is just about back to normal. I haven't seen any other parts of Brisbane yet because we've been advised not to "rubber neck" as I lot of people have been.

Yeah, things are getting back to normal and people are starting to recover from the devastation. Sad, I heard the news a while ago about the dead body of a young girl found hanging in the trees. The girl was with her father and her mother when the inland tsunami and flash flood happened. The mother managed to grip to a tree and stayed safe, but her daughter and husband were flushed by the raging torrent.
I know it's so upsetting. I would like to help out people around Brisbane that have been left with nothing and their insurance doesn't cover the damage done by the floods for whatever reason. I have been working at the animal shelter because we've been so short staffed because people have been helping with floods.

People in the insurance companies will choose money over helping out people. If they will help everyone in Queensland enrolled in their programs, they will be bankrupt. Sad that it's what they are more concerned of. Not helping people out.
