I just got off the phone with a friend earlier today. She has explained to me that she doesn't think that the acai slim program is working for her, she has only been on it for 2 weeks. I have explained that I am now only loosing a kg a week now, am still happy about it as long as i keep going down on the scales. She did tell me last week that she lost 2 kg, however she doesn't think she will continue with acai slim. I have said to her that it would be good if she can take it a little longer to give it a chance to work. I am going to be there to support her in any decision that she makes, she is going to finish the tablets and see how she feels. I hope she does continue but I can't force her to keep going if she doesn't want to.

Hi danag, if I were your friend I would probably wait for more time because 2 weeks is just a short period to see the real effects/results of acaislim.. Another thing, she already lost 2 kg last week and that's a pretty good result! Well as you've said we can't force her if she really doesn't want to continue..

@ danag: you and kk are right. in this life, giving up is not an option (whew, that was deep too dinkidi!). but it's good that she'll finish off the last pills she has. is she doing exercise, eating healthy diet, and drinking more water? has she tried to measure herself? and hey 2kg loss is a great result so the acai slim program is working on her.
I am sitting in the mater children's emergency Dept with my son James. He has a fever, and white cells in his urine. Please pray for him. I only got to exercise for 20 minutes tonight, james comes first.
Dana, I know you must be concerned about your son and being in a hospital with a child is not good, but this is the 3rd time I've read the same thing. I hope he's ok soon.

It took me about half an hour for my befuddled brain to find my way back here. I have been through what your going through and I promise you it does get easier. As they age they come with a whole different set of problems but they are less reliant on you.
My daughter had her first day at work experience today and her supervisor sounds like a total bitch. I hope everything goes better tomorrow for her. She was crying her eyes out earlier.
Let us know how you got on at the hospital I hope everything is okay with your son.

Hi, so far James is okay. He is having surgery on the 6th May. I accidently put the hospital msg in a couple of times without realising it last night sorry
I was watching James at the same time at the hospital while I was online.
I am sorry to hear that Belle, Can she go somewhere else?
No I don't think she can go anywhere else. She woke me up at 1.30am this morning and she said she couldn't sleep. I really feel for her but I'm not sure what I can do to help. I offered to ring the supervisor up and have a chat with her but Natasha said No. My pay still hasn't gone into my account either and I think she's upset about that.
What sort of operation does James have to have?

I am worried about her, she was up at 1.30am this morning mopping the floor. I worry that she may have "clinical" depression because it runs in the family.
I offered to talk to her supervisor at work experience but Natasha won't let me...So I'm hoping that she might have a better day today.
My pay still hasn't gone into my account either...I rang my boss this morning and he swears he put the money in my account. If it's not there then where is it???
I think he's lying to me.

Today i have good news and bad news. I am so excited to tell you as I have been working really hard.
My Good News:- Today I weighed myself and I am now 81.4kg. So far my total weight loss is: 6.4kg, I am so happy that acai slim is working for me. I am thinking about going out and buying some clothes next week, hopefully next week I should weigh 80kg.
My Bad News:- Yesterday I found out that Chelsea, James and myself all have headlice. We are getting them every couple of months now, I am now treating us all again. My German Shepherd Puppy is also jumping our fence again so now I am going to have to figure out how to solve that one.
So there you have it, even tho I have shared bad news I am still so happy. :)
You can try, you can spend many many $$$ on treatments, but yes more than likely you will have to wait that long, other mothers are not always so diligent unfortunately.

Thank god I don't have to worry about head lice anymore...I used to put conditioner in Natasha's hair and then she'd sit in the batch with the lice comb and comb them all out. I had to do the same thing myself on occasion.
I work with problem dogs Dana so I know a little bit about how their minds work. Usually if you leave a puppy outside by itself it'll jump the fence because it's bored. Is your dog allowed inside the house?

Dinkidi, I had that feeling that not all mums are able to get all the headlice out. I am glad that you were able to give me some advice on it thank you.
Belle I copied and pasted this for you:-
yeah thats sad Belle, my dog is a German Shepherd. We had the fenced worked out so that he couldn't jump. Chelsea is going up to the fence and talking to him, so clifford is jumping it to get to her. We fixed that one, just made our gate higher. Our next door neighbour has a new dog so clifford wants to play and has now figured out to jump the fence again *sigh* both neighbour and dad think they have solved the problem I hope
A friend who works with animals suggested to use Electronic Fencing, not sure if I should tho.
If you can suggest something that might help be, I would appreciate all the help I can get. Clifford is now being let out while we are at home so he can sit with us inside/outside. I really need to get his basic training done. I really didn't get a chance when he was really young I really want him to also get family protection training as well. :)
It sounds like your doing the right thing and I'm impressed. If you can afford it get the basic training done I'm sure they cover the fence issue. My dog could jump my fence but he just doesn't want to beause he loves us so much.
One of the volunteers uses the k9 collars for her dogs and it works well. She took home one of the shelter dogs "Fast Eddie" we called him because he is an escape artist but apparently the k9 collar works on him so it must be good.
Dana, I know almost everything there is to know about head lice if you need any suggestions further down the track, as I've said been there done that, finally the last of 4 is in grade 6 and we have been head lice free since about 18 months now. but it does depend on other mothers and how you try and get your kids to not be too close to others heads, but like I said, at least by grade 6 it will be all over.

i think the head lice are seasonal then. lol. i also had head lice when i was in grade 4. i remember i could actually get one on my sleeves. it was so embarassing! my mom did not let me use any shampoo nor conditioner. they just used the lice comb and put them all in oil. not sure what oil was that though. geez, you can actually see how many they were then! i think dd is right, they just get off after grade 6. never had it after grade 6.
danag: i'll pray for james' safe operation. be strong for your son. God is good, all the time.
@ belle: how's natasha's second day at work so far? she's too young to have a bitch supervisor. but she'll get through it someday. i hope she's fine now.

I put hair conditioner straight onto Natasha (don't wet the head) and used a lice comb. There were some ladies that went to a lecture at the university and they had done studies and found that the hair condioner and lice combing worked the best. The school should be able to give your more advice on how to get rid of lice.
Natasha's work experience improved on her second day because she was working with a different person. She was whinging yesterday because she has to clean all the time.
I told her to get used to it because it happens to everyone. The youngest and fittest always have to do the **** jobs.

Not saying this about Natasha specifically, but kids today don't want to start at the bottom, whether it be in a job or getting a house, when this new generation get a house the want the best of everything in it, no second hand furniture or blankets on the windows for them, nooooo

Who is suppossed to do all the **** jobs then? Maybe they'll have to get some old age pensioners to do it they're always complaining about not getting enough money on the pension.

I loved buying second hand furniture for my first home. I can remember having to buy second hand fridges as well they always used to get gas leaks. I still like to buy stuff second hand. I'm slowly converting Natasha to the joys of shopping at St Vinnies.

Sorry Belle, I had a very bad day yesterday and wasn't very happy so didn't come online. Yesterday I took James to Garden City and as I was parking, I had a car accident. I took my eyes off the road as I was parking and ran straight into pole. I really wrecked my car tho. James and I are okay just was really shaken up. The car got towed away and we are waiting for an assesor to go out from NRMA to go and assess the damage on Monday.
Thanks for your advice on the headlice and encouragement and support on weightloss.

Again sorry I wasn't here yesterday. Am back now.
You must of been going pretty fast to damager your car that badly?? Natasha and I went to Noosa and it was miserable. Natasha said she wasn't dressed properly so I let her buy a pair of shorts (which I couldn't afford) and then we went to the National Park and she had a massive spac attack because the shorts were to tight. How could she not tell they were to tight when she tried them on....it seriously pissed me off. ggggggrrrrrrrrrrr I told her she needed to lose some weight.
I also bought batteries for her camera another $20 that I couldn't afford. She took hardly any photos because she was to busy feeling sorry for herself.
She's upstairs now doing god knows what...I won't be going to Noosa again with Natasha that's for sure it was a total waste of time.

She's in a good mood now....We are going to try Bribie Island next time it's a bit closer to home and there's a beach where you can take your dog.
My car is 21 years old and ready for the dump but I'm still paranoid about denting my car. I can remember when I was younger reversing my four wheel drive into a pole at the service station. How embarrassing

All dogs are capable of attacking danag especially if you have kids. I'll have to post something on here for you. We had a 9 year old ****ers spaniel surrended recently because it bit one of the kids. The kid was pulling it's tail. Luckily we found it a new home fairly quickly but still it'd been part of that family for nine years and over one incident they get rid of it. It makes my blood boil.

One of the more serious dog behavioural problems that has always concerned me is a dog’s aggression towards a child, and it has been my experience over many years that a lot of dog attacks on children could have been prevented with just a little more understanding of our dogs’ thinking patterns and natural reactions to particular situations.
For instance, dogs can get jealous, and even a good-tempered dog can be pushy and challenging towards a child who is looking to the parents for attention. In the same way that a jealous dog may push away another dog from an owner, a jealous dog can do the same with a child, so we need to be aware of this caring natural instinct and avoid making a dog jealous of a child, as this can bring out a dog’s natural aggression.
Ten child safety principles to keep in mind: • Never go near a dog when it’s eating or sleeping. • Never go near a dog caring for puppies. • Never run up to a dog – always approach slowly. • Never throw your arms and hands around near a dog. • Never look directly at a dog. • Never smack or shout at a dog. • Never roughly handle a dog. • Never ride on a dog’s back. • Never pull a dog’s tail, and be careful not to stand on its paws. • Never play tug-of-war with a dog.

LOL I think the monitors are watching the board for that sort of thing Belle. Thanks for the info about dogs and kids will print it off and go through it with the kids.
I am very tired today, James had to get rushed by ambulance last night. He had a 40.9 temp. He had to stay over night, so decided to stay with him. He didn't get up to the private kids ward till 12.30 am. We are at home now but needs to go and get daily injections. So am off to bed. G'night
Thanks for your prayers and encouragment. James is 7 years old. He has to have amacaisin, (can't spell). Sorry Belle I have been at the mater every day with James, He is okay just needing to get daily doses. Well am off to excerise before i go to bed. Night give Dinkidi a big hug for me and tell her I am praying and hope she is okay. Will come back late tomorrow night. Night Belle, Dinkidi, Sam, Marga, Khloe and everyone else. See You Soon.
