Hello all,

I got my package today wohoo and am going to get my measurements and weight taken at the gym tomorrow and will post them here for you all to see.

I plan on weighing in once a week and I wont do my measurements for a little while until my personal trainer thinks its a good idea

If you have any questions please feel free to ask, am more than happy to share my exercise plan with you all if you want to know what I am doing along with the pills.

I will be starting off on 2 of each tablet a day

Hi folks,

I am heading off soon to the gym to get my measurements taken and to have a good workout...before I go I wanted to share my story with you and how I have gotten here.

About 5 years ago I went into a mild bout of depression and it was because someone treated me not very well, I was rejected by someone I really liked and the reasons he gave me were very hurtful. But really it was just a combination of things over the years that affected my confidence.

I used to be very bold and outgoing...never really had any boyfriends though...not real sure why this is as I know I am a wonderful caring individual but I put it down to not being happy with how I feel about how I look...fear of being rejected.

I am under 5 feet tall (I hate being so short) always had a minor weight problem but nothing too out of control. I would diet and lose weight and then put it all back on and a bit more like many of us do.

When I went through the depression I lost weight and then after this time and I finally found myself again I had much less confidence than I started with. I gained alot of weight and got to my heaviest at 64kg. The night of my birthday I realised it as I was getting ready to go out for a night on the town with friends and I couldnt find anything to fit me....you wont believe this but the only thing I felt half confortable in was the same outfit I wore the evening before and I cried and cried. This was the changing moment for me.

I went out and had salad for dinner (YUK!) hate salad. I joined weight watchers and lost 17.5kg!!

I did this over a year and since then have been watching what I eat until the last 18months.

I bought a new home and was setting myself up for hopefully meeting the man of my dreams to share my life with.....I felt good about how I looked and felt I had more to offer than just myself with being secure in a home, good job etc

I have always been scared of meeting someone as I have little confidence...and subconciously I began to saboutage any chance of meeting anyone as I started to gain weight again...and I knew very well that I would not put myself out there unless I was as happy as I could be with how my weight was....what a good excuse not to ever meet someone right...can never be rejected this way right?

I am 39 years old and never been in a caring, loving relationship or any relationship for that matter since my very first boyfriend when I was 18.

I need to change this in order to be happy and the start is getting this 5kg off and with the support of you all and my sheer determination I KNOW I WILL DO IT NO PROBLEM....


I dont have a weight problem....I have a confidence and fear of rejection problem but losing this weight will give me just a little more confidence as people used to say how amazing I looked.

This is my last journey on this particular path as I plan to keep it off this time.

I am working out at the gym with a personal trainer and will be going back to the plan that got the weight off the first time but I wont be so obsessed with it as I was.  I want this to be the change I make in my life with my weight and confidence.

Thanks to those who read this I understand not all will be that interested but I myself  like to hear about how others got to being here and more importantly I like to hear about the journey they take to make them a SUCCESS story.

aww pixi, that is an amazing story, I really hope with the support of the people on here that you can overcome some of those obstacles placed in your way.  Sounds like you have already started to make a difference to yourself, believe in yourself you CAN do it.

I didnt want to tell a sob story but we all have a reason for being at this place in our lives and I think it helps others to know that others are going through alot of what they have smile

@kayla I will post my exercise plan tonight for you it has been written up by my personal trainer, it is pretty hard but you could use it and adjust it if you felt you needed to.

I will also post my diet on here also:)

hi pixi, i was amazed with your story.. just keep going and most important thing think postive.. same with you i have also a little confidence when i gain lots lots of weight.. but now i realize that why should i allow myself to kill my confidence just bec of being fat? cheer up.. acaislim will help us gain confidence.. we just have to beleive with ourselves.. WOW, You guys are so supportive and the encouraging is awesome!
Pixi - I also want my confidence back, the last time I was a size 8 was when I was 17 (65kgs)that's 10 YEARS AGO! I was engaged when I turned 19 (75kgs) and married at 20 (87kgs)... I didn't even know I had put weight on till the wedding dress I had ordered to be made ( a year in advance) was 2 sizes to small for me!!! LOL... I thought they had stuffed my order up!!! LOL... No one had said anything to me bout my weight, except my grandmother... and I thought she was just being nasty! lol But isn't it funny how we remember the weights we were at particular times in our lives. I remember being 17 and thinking I was so fat because my bf (now hubby) had bout me a dress in a size 8 but I had to return it and get a size 10 cause the original one was to tight across my hips!!! Silly Me!!! I look back a photos of that time and beg God to send a miracle my way and fix my weight issues!!! I Believe we can do this Pixi... and by the sounds of it you are almost there! Well done on what you have achieved so far and know we are all here to support you! xx

Pixi I think there are plenty of men and women who are in the same situation as you. Now you are on the way to a better you!

Chunky your story is the same as mine. I started to put on weight pretty much from the day I met my hubby. Don't know why but I tell myself its the whole falling in love and settling down. But my hubby doesn't deserve this excuse for the extra 20kg of me and more importantly neither do I.

We can all do this.

Yes I would love to wow my hubby again too. Do you find it amazing that they can put on a bit of weight (like the rest of us) but they do not carry around the emotional baggage that us girls do when it comes to weight gain?

I am very lucky to have my wonderful man and I wanna give him the best wife (inside and OUT) that I can possibly be ;)

starting Weight and Measurements 15/10/2010

Ok folks,

I went to the gym today and had one of the trainers do my measurements for me and here they are for you all to see as they in time will change for the better

Weight=53.3kg
Height=150cm

My goal is to be around the 48-49kg mark and about 6inches taller lol but hey I can do something about the weight

Measurements
Biceps right=26cm  left=27cm
Chest=87cm
Waist=78cm
Hips= 92cm
Thighs right=54cm  left=52cm
Calf  right=34cm  left=32cm


I also had the skin fold fat test done and I am approximately 32.3% body fat

I think I will start by weighing in every 2nd day and then see how I go.

you can do it Pixi, you really don't have that much to lose, but in saying that often the last 5kg or so are the hardest!

I hate that body fat percentage! Mine is about 31. I have it on my scales so I see it everytime I weigh in :(

Exercise Program- written by my personal trainer

Hi all,

Here is a look at my current exercise plan that my personal trainer wrote up for me.  I must do this 3 days a week and any additional gym workouts can be of my choosing but I have to keep the running down to no more than 2 days on and 1 day off.  I have not really done much running and this will help lesson the impact on my joints.

On the extra workouts I have been doing 30mins of Treadmill on a program selected from the machine either a cardio workout or an inlcine workout.  I then either do 20 minutes on the Cross Trainer and 10 minutes on the stepper or just 30 minutes on the Cross Trainer.

I do alot of interval type training where no matter what I am doing it is mixed up to keep your body guessing what level and speed you are at.  This maximises results

If anyone has any questions about my workouts please feel free to ask.

@pixi: OMG! we do have the same story!my x-boyfriend dumped me for the most stupid reason; being fat! i did everything to win him back but he was strong with his decision to bring me down. i went into depression state as you had. i really cried for losing him and losing the confidence i once had.

thank goodness i was awakened from a bad dream. i the bought these products and did everything i can do to lose weight. exercise, strict diet, took 4 acai and colon cleanse, used ceragem(a mat that heats to remove fats in the body..it's like sauna bath in a mat) and many more.

glad the sacrifice was worth it. i did all of these not for my x-bf but for myself.to bring back the confidence.i now live with full confidence because of my new body plus knowing that i did something successful for myself.i tell you, knowing that you have achieved your goals and dreams gives enough confidence.so i am here to support you pixi and all fellow acai users.

thanks for posting your exercise plan. it would be really helpful for all people here.including me.eventhough i was able to lose much weight, i still do exercise.it's like i am already used to it.haha!and not exercising makes me feel tired.lol!

Similar story marga except this guy told me that we got along pretty well together but our personalities were different but the sex was great! (for him anyways! LOL) and would I like to be his friend with benefits but he didn't want anything more.

I told him I couldnt do that and that I would definitely develop feelings for him and he still tried to convince me to at least try it.....I insisted I could not he kept harping....MEANING HE CARED ZERO about my feelings!

Me as a person wasnt good enough but the sex I offered was!!! GRR......some men are so damn shallow!!disbelief

My diet for a Day

Sample of my Diet for a Day

Breakfast

50grams of quick oats soaked in boiling water
½ cup of semi skim milk
Stevia to sweeten
2 prunes diced or spoon of sultana’s

I soak the oats in a container with about 3 times the amount of boiling water compared to the amount of oats with a lid on it.  Soak for about 1 hour. This allows the oats to swell to about 4 times the amount you put in.  Good trick makes you think you are having more!!

I use Stevia as a sweetener.  This is a natural sweetener that has zero calories!
I don’t use total skim milk simply because we need some calcium for our bones and when your dieting you usually don’t get enough calcium.

Lunch

3 Multigrain Salada’s (each has 4 squares=12squares)
1 x 95g tin of sirena light tuna in oil
Extra light Kraft Philadelphia Cream cheese
Baby spinach
Sliced Cucumber Sliced = 12 slices
Sliced thinly Capsicum = 12 slices
Diced Red Onion
Sliced tomato = 12 slices
¼ advocado

Break 1 Salada into 4, Spread each with cream cheese, add a few leaves of baby spinach, then I put in this order lol, a piece of cucumber, capsicum, tomato, onion, black pepper and small amount of tuna.

On the last Salada instead of using the cream cheese spread this biscuit with the advacado…this is my treat! LOVE ADVOCADO

This takes me about 45 minutes to eat!  Makes you feel fuller as it takes you longer to eat it and it is really filling.


Dinner

1 Small Chicken fillet with skin off
1 Medium potato washed in its jacket
1 good size piece of pumpkin with skin left on
Couple of nice BIG handfuls of fresh green beans

Place pumpkin and potato into the microwave on a plate or dish and cook until soft, it takes about 7 minutes. 

Place the pumpkin and potato on an oven tray lined with baking paper in the oven 200 degrees for about 45 minutes til it browns. 

Place chicken in a saucepan with vegeta vegetable salt and water to top of saucepan to poach until vegetables are cooked.
Slice beans cook to your liking

I then pour weight watchers packet mix chicken gravy over the beans and chicken....I am not a fan of vegetables and this helps me eat them lol.

This is a really substantial big meal and you will feel totally satisfied even really full at the end.

You can replace the potato with sweet potato this is much better for you! but remove the skin.

Have any veggies you like with this these are just the ones I have.

Instead of the chicken I also have a small piece of porterhouse steak a few times a week which I fry with chopped mushrooms and spring onion dry fry NO OIL!.  I top the steak with the mushrooms and onion before adding the gravy (YUMMY!!)

If you love mash potato here is a tip I use instead of baking my potato and pumpkin I chop them removing the skin from pumpkin only and boil with some diced leek and small shake of vegeta.  When cooked I mash together and I add NOTHING!  This is delicious!!!

Snacks (these are my treats!) VERY IMPORTANT you don’t feel like your on a diet so much

I am really well prepared with my snacks.

I make up a packet of Aeroplane Low Joule jelly (has two small sachets inside, use both).  I normally dilute it slightly more than the packet says.  The total water it suggests is 1 litre and I probably use 1250mls.  When made I place this in small containers in the fridge it makes about 10 containers.

When I have the jelly I have it with a spoon of Weight Watchers fruit Salad including some juice and a and 3 dessert spoons of Nestle Diet Vanilla Yogurt which I put in a container and place in the freezer for at least 30 mintues till its like soft serve icecream. 

When I make the jelly I put it in containers that leave enough room for me to add the fruit salad and yoghurt on top so I eat it out of that container.

Fruit Mix
Days I am working I usually make up a good sized container (don’t be tight you can eat plenty! lol) of the following:-

Diced watermelon, Cantelope and Honey dew ½ punnet of strawberries.

Snacks allowance for 1 day

2 x Jelly, fruit salad and yoghurts

1 container of Fruit mix OR 1 punnet of strawberries or blueberries and a mango or apple

1 of the following choices each day:-
1 Weight Watchers Bar (find in isle with muesli bars at supermarket)
1 treat size chocolate bar eg mars bar (any in the treat bags)
1 chocolate coated licorice log

When I started to diet it was important to me that I never felt hungry....If I was never hungry after eating I wouldnt stray and have something I shouldnt.  For me quantity of food was really important rather than quality! I am a little piggy now lol

I dont really have Bread, Rice, Pasta or cheese and if I do it is really rare

I have quite a few recipies that are really low in fat and I can put some of those up here for those interested also

I dont know everything guys but I know what works for me and this defenitely worked for me eating this way

HI Pixi

I have been single since 1999 and I am perfectly happy. I was treated like **** one to many times by men and decided to try the single live. I am very happy with my life and I do occasionally feel like a bit of a freak because there aren't many people I know who are happily single. But I am very proud of myself for being single and not letting men treat me like ****.

Awww Belle, I'm sorry you got treated badly! But very happy to know you are a strong confident woman who can do it for herself!... I've been with my hubby since I was 13yrs old...LOL.. I dont know anydifferent. Sometimes he makes me sad but in the big picture they are really minor things and I m "over it" pretty quickly... I am lucky to have scored a good man.

My hubby isn't perfect... lol... but then neither am I. I think when I realised that I was pretty happy that I even managed to score him!!! He is an awesome daddy too... We have four kids and he does a great job with them. On my Birthday I woke up to the kids had been dressed, fed and ALL 4 taken down to Coles to grab party food for the day... SOME mum's cant even handle their own kids down town without help, let alone a guy!!!! He's great and I'm glad he loves me reguardless of my weight issues... He's been with me since I was 13... so I was kinda very small then...lol... and ballooned out when we had kids!!! He just loves me I spose ;]

Ok I could not help myself...I weighed myself this morning and I only had to wait a day lol

I lost 300grams woot woot!

Now 53kg


I am really happy with that as I only have 5kg to lose tops so 300grams is brilliant!

Ok now the tempation to weight myself twice a week is going to creep in hahaha

I will try to hold off til next tuesday before weighing again lol

It is so hard to not jump on the scales more often than weekly, I guess as long as you get excited by the losses but don't concern yourself with the gains that's ok.  I have the same problem so I've now made a new mental note, only write down the weight on Fridays that's the one that counts, all others during the week don't really matter but helps me keep going if I'm going down !!
