I have a teenager and she does my head in. Her moods are all over the place I have to walk on eggshells when she gets like this. It's a pity they have to grow up.

thanks marga, i woek on ships in the oil and gas industry as a steward, basically like a cleaner/cabin attendant the money is great and the time off is the biggest reward as i work equal time off as on!

belle, i can only imagine what it will be like! haha i've just got myself an amazing man who wants the same things i do so we are just going to see how we go, not trying but if it were to happen we would welcome it

I didn't have an amazing man so ended up with post natal depression. Fourteen years later and I am still on medication for anxiety.

Children are all cute and gorgeous until they become a teenager, it took a bit longer for my daughter but I was warned, 2 days after she turns 16 look out, we thought noooo not our daughter she is polite, helpful, respectful etc etc, yup, 2 days after she turned 16 !!

The next one in line we didn't think would be too bad because she saw what we dealt with with the first one, but noooo at the age of 13 she's looking like being worse !

We have one more after that, dare I say that her temperament will not make her go like her sister, nooo I daren't but I can always hope !

You are indeed a busy woman Besse. And it's good to know that you don't get to skip on taking your pills in spite of your work schedule. I know there's a lot of temptation around. Just be determined. Good luck on everything :)

I find it hard because I don't really have anyone to talk to about it. I talk to my friends of course but it's not the same as having family to talk to .

I agree with you belle, it's really different when a family member of us give advices.. It really touch our hearts because we all know that they are the one who truly understands us.. :)

I don't understand what you mean khloekobe I have no family support. One of my friends helped me with Natasha because my family are all arseholes. I only see them at XMAS. I was abused by my father when I was a kid and I found out when I was an adult that everyone in the family new about it and no one helped me. So yeah ****ing hate my family.

@ besse: oh i love your work! you get to travel in a lot of places. do you also get off board and visit other places? i didn't know ship stewardess do not have offs in between the weeks. that's an "AHA!" for me, and i just realized offs between weeks is not useful at all since you are still at work even if you're supposedly on day off.

@ belle: that sucks! well, at least you've got that friend who helped you with Natasha. and hey, we're here for you! we're family here.

belle, that is very sad to hear

marga - we don't really travel much in this job apart from airports to get to work, we mainly stay in the same area as it is the private sector and in construction on big oil/construction/pipelaying ships. i generally work 4 weeks on 4 weeks off and it is great

i used to be in the navy which was a lot more hard work and very long days and time apart from friends and family, hence whiy i love my job now

took measurments again the other night, another cm gone from hips and waist but boobs the same

Belle I am sorry to hear that *hugs* I had a similar thing happen to me as a kid too. My grandfather had abused me too, didn't get down to rape tho just kept touching me etc. My parents had told him off and he died of cancer a year later. We are here for you as marga said. :o)

Sometimes you just need to make the time, bringing up kids is a full time occupation even when they are older, if you don't find time for you, you will burn out and be no use to anyone.

I can only have time if someone will look after my son.. My mum is planning to stay with us again, but she's not yet sure when.. Here's hoping to have a quality time with my hubby and of course to unwind as well..

Is it not possible for your hubby to look after him sometime even if it's just once a week so you can go and do something for yourself, have a bath, read a book, visit a friend .....?

He is so busy with his work lately, he was just promoted last 2 months ago so he should show to his boss that he deserved the promotion.. :)

My Dad died from a brain tumour. I like to think that it was his punishment for what he did to me.
