It's a pity Dana doesn't still come on here and show her support...I really miss those big red letters.

I was so used to losing weight and I forgot that I was initially only trying to lose 20kg.
I already lost 25kg. That's 5 kg past my target, whoa! But I'm still not satisfied with how I look.
I thought that when I weigh down, I will also slim down. How come I haven't lost enough on my belly area?
I wanted my waist to trim down to at least 70cm, but it still measures 92 cm. That's my problem!
I still need to lose 22cm around my waist when I already lost 25kg.

week 29, 30 - Apr 13 - lost 1 kg (current weight 72 kg).

I think I will try to lose 2 kg more and work on my waist area. Does anyone have some tips to share on how I can do that?

I have the same problem Stacey...I have cut down on my kilojoule intake and it seems to be working.

same dilemma here stacey
i have reached my goal but my belly area seems to be the problem now
i'll be going to Queensland in a few days and i'll do my best to trim down in that area
i'll stop badminton first and do sit ups for 30 mins
hope that helps us somehow

Yeap!  Situps and crunches are the only solution that I can come up with.  Congratulations on what you have lost so far, though!  That's no easy feat.  Well done!

Sit ups can help.  Stay away from carbs and sodas and iced teas.

I'm definitely taking note of all your advises. Thank you ladies.

Belle - cut down on kilojoule/calorie intake ; sucking on ice cubes to curve hunger pains

Lily - sit ups

Lizzie - sit ups and crunches

Summer - stay away from carbs, sodas and iced teas

All these will help a lot .

I'm trying to lose 2 kg more to see if my stomach will flatten a little.
It has been 2 weeks from my last weigh in and I only lost 800g and I have no pills left.
I guess I have to shake off the last 1.2kg all by myself and all the tips you gave me.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey Stacey...another thing that can curb hunger pains is cups of tea...and you could have a cheat day  once a week...it makes it easier to stick to your diet.

You're right Belle, we have to watch our calorie intake.  Reading the labels of what we eat and drink will help us. smile

Good Job Stacey on your last weigh in!

Yes, I do that too Summer. Aside from calories, what do you usually look for in a food nutrition label? They said Sodium should also be watched on. We should intake less than 2,000 milligrams per day. I know this may be easier said than done, due to the amount of sodium found in processed foods. Plus, not to mention foods that do not contain nutrition label.

Has anyone here cut down on salt intake or measure their day to day Sodium inake? Does it help in losing weight?

I don't Irish, I keep a sharp eye on carbs (less is best) and protein (more).

Thanks Dinkidi. I should do that moving forward. I took a look at the nutrition label of Weet-Bix and surprised to know that it has 290 mg of Sodium per 100 grams. I wished it has more Fibre though.

Do you set a limit on your carb intake, Dinkidi?

At first I tried to keep it around 20gr, which I might add is incredibly hard to do, I eventually learnt that if I exercised, I could afford to have more. I have pretty much cut out bread, pasta and potato, although I do sometimes have them I am careful what I have for the rest of the day and even the next day if necessary.

I sometimes sneak in the nutrition label too but I admit it's difficult at times when you've lost track of your counting. Difficult part I can say is when you cook and put in little condiments like salt, sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, pepper and the like. I have no time to do the math on each. Lol.

But when I do, I look for the calories. The lesser the better.

I still count calories..I find it the best way to stay on track...I also eat weet bix for breakfast every morning...but I also do a lot of exercise so I really need the carbs to keep me going.

Don't wait until your order arrives to start, you may as well start making changes and healthy choices now, it'll give you a head start when your tablets arrive.

Trimming down a flabby tummy is really hard, huh? Do situps help? How about doing hoola hoops? Once, someone told me that diet also has a lot to do in helping to achieve a flat tummy. I wonder what we could do with our tummy problems.

one of the great things about hula hoop exercises is that they target those really difficult areas to tone.

You know the places that I am talking about.

The belly, inner thighs and the backs of your thighs :)

good to know.  had no idea the thighs are targeted as well when hula hooping.
